Sometimes your adult-life career passion harkens back to childhood. Growing up, my family lived in many places because of my father’s career. This transient lifestyle led to countless house-hunting expeditions, where, at the tender age of six, I found myself unwittingly critiquing interior layouts. Each new home sparked an internal dialogue: “Why is the couch positioned there? It belongs on this wall!” Little did I realize, my young mind was already entwined with the nuances of interior design.

As a young adult, I moved to New York City and spent 28 years surrounded by and involved in a tapestry of artistic expressions — from the culinary arts to graphic design to painting and sculpture. These years of immersion in artistic communities and traveling the world cultivated an unwavering passion for all forms of creativity. Understanding how we choose to display these experiences and influences, as well as the physical artwork we’ve collected, form my favorite part of the process. Interior design is a practice of weaving together objects, orientation, color, and light what make you comfortable, inspire you, and evoke memories, for a final space that brings joy.
